Now that we’re entering a post-Covid-19 phase, it’s time to get back to studying and hanging out with friends. However, the Novel coronavirus’s threats are not yet over. Everyone’s attention is still focused on the rising daily cases and resulting deaths. Thus, adapting a suitable post covid-19 lifestyle is vital to keep a healthy body while working on your grind.
As a result, the thought of contracting Covid-19-related symptoms is still scary. Since the symptoms resemble those we experience before an outbreak, it fills us with fear and anxiety.
In addition, as students who attend lectures and socialise, we need to be prepared. As a first step, we should avoid infection and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We pray that our bodies will fight off the virus without causing any significant harm if we catch it.
This is a list of things you can do right now to help keep yourself safe in the wake of Covid-19:
Buy and Prepare the Necessities
The most important thing to remember during these uncertain times is that the pandemic is most likely to remain. However, in light of the government’s announcement that Covid-19 will be treated as an endemic disease, it’s time for you to get ready as well.
You can begin by purchasing the necessities to keep viruses at bay. Such as buying face masks with a better level of quality, such as the KF94 face masks is a must as a post covid-19 lifestyle essentials. Start using alcohol-based hand sanitisers, which have been more effective at killing germs and bacteria. It’s a good idea to include face protection on your shopping list.
Additionally, a portable air purifier can be an excellent investment if you have the cash to spare.
Maintain a Healthy Diet
The phrase “diet” conjures up images of extreme weight-loss programmes like “keto,” “paleo,” and intermittent fasting.
If your goal is to reduce weight quickly, these diets may help, but they are not long-term solutions. Especially when we’re trying to keep healthy against a pandemic.
You need a diet that includes all the food groups you can get your hands on for the best results. For example, carbohydrates and fats—in the optimal proportions for your lifestyle and objectives.
Our food intake should be consists of a quarter serving of fish, chicken, or meat, a quarter serving of rice, bread, or cereal goods, and a half-plate of greens and vegetables as a primary component.
Workout!
Exercising is a great way to maintain our bodies healthy and strong. However, comorbid conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other health problems increase the likelihood of becoming infected by the Covid-19 virus.
Maintaining a regular exercise routine can help your body stay in top shape so that you can better manage these and other conditions. Three to five days a week, engage in activities that raise your heart rate for at least 20 minutes.
Walk about your neighbourhood in the early morning hours and take in the beautiful scenery right in front of you. Do something you enjoy, whether it’s running, strength training, dancing, HIIT, or any type of workout you can stick with. You’ll see results sooner rather than later.
And if you’re a smoker, it’s about time you gave up the habit for good! If you have a healthy set of lungs, you’ll have an easier time staying safe during the pandemic.
Maintain a Set of Healthy Lungs
The most important thing you can do to battle the pandemic, or any other sickness is to keep yourself healthy. The health of your lungs should be a top focus because most infections are transmitted through the air.
However, you may do a few things at home to promote lung health:
- Get rid of pollutants! This is in line with our earlier points: get an air purifier for your home and give up smoking in the house. The less pollution you have at home, the healthier you are.
- Strengthen your lungs and expand their capacity by singing for 15 minutes a day, at least three times a week. (Yes, I know, it turns out singing does help in making your lungs stronger!)
- Supplement your diet to the hilt Supplements like Omega 3, cordyceps, and astragalus can help strengthen your lungs.
Continue to drink plenty of water and maintain a healthy diet. The country gradually eases its limitations, and we enter the new normal. As a community, we can overcome this pandemic with a perfect post covid-19 lifestyle arrangements.
