Teh tarik, which literally means “pulled tea” can be found at most mamak restaurants in Malaysia and is enjoyed during breakfast or tea time. It’s a foamy milk tea drink that is made by “pulling” the tea and pouring it from high above to create a nice froth. The drink is said to be introduced by Indian Muslim immigrants in Malaysia who set up stalls outside the rubber tea plantations after World War II and served the workers there.
