The emergence of thrift shops, also known as bundle stores, is perhaps the best thing that can happen to closet shoppers like myself. Being able to bag home a stunning jacket while getting them at a great bargain is a godsend.

This is one of the most well-known and long-standing names in the scene. Initially, Sulfan Yushak started the business in 1986 as a little kiosk in a night market or on the side of the road selling and trading secondhand clothing. But because they get their products from Japan, they can be pricey.

Here’s a hidden treasure hard to come by! @by.aween only sells on the internet and at car boot sales. In short, this shop specialises in antique women’s apparel in pastels and floral patterns. There’s a tip, though, if you want to deal with By.Tween. The prices can go as low as RM3 for each piece if you buy in person instead of going through online.

Family Bundle’s loyal consumers return for two main reasons: low prices and a large selection. As a result, Family Bundle prepared an infinite shelves groan under the weight of their goods. But it might seemingly be portraying a preference for denim and corduroy here. However, you can find flannels and jackets of all kinds.

It’s hard to miss the Bandoru Store with its’ prominent storefront painted in the colours of the Japanese flag along the Federal Highway. In fact, its’ self-described as a concept mall, it specialises in Japanese-made, pre-loved, high-quality apparel. Although Bandoru is well known for its winter and clothing, you will be happy to find a wide variety of clothing there.

Japanese-based 2nd STREET is an exporter of used apparel to Asian countries. In Japan, there are over 550 locations. Many things are name brands, and the store is air-conditioned and spotless, so expect to pay more.

A new venture from the IOI Group, Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng, is called Bargain Basement. First and foremost, Bargain Basement operates as a non-profit sells clothing for adults and children. Even though most of the products are donated, you may still come upon a few surprises.

BLESS Shop

SIBKL has operated BLESS Shop since 1999. You’ll find everything from fancy evening gowns to bargain-priced business attire in these basement-level shops. Above all, half of the sales earnings are donated to charitable organisations. Meanwhile the remaining funds going toward store upkeep.

Undoubtedly, toy collectors and parents alike flock to Jalan Jalan Japan. Still, the store also sells a wide range of Japanese-made apparel. The cherry on top? Shoppers can purchase an RM5 bag and fill it up with as many women’s clothes as they like at two of the retailer’s locations’ monthly “TaPauSab” events. If you want, you can pay RM10 for three bags instead.

The Vintage Night Market at Pasar Raja Bot (or Chow Kit Market, among other names) is the place to go if you’re looking for a hunting adventure. Streetwear apparel, shoes, and accessories can be found in at least 200 stalls along the row.
