Want to capture the most daring moments in your life? The activity organizers typically provide videos and equipment for that specific purpose. It is crucial to keep in mind that this activity is seasonal in nature and heavily dependent on weather.

Paragliding in Malaysia is a must-do if you’re looking for both adventure and thrills in one package. Beginners and experienced pilots alike can enjoy the air time while appreciating the view of nature. With foot-launched parachutes, you’ll have the time of your life hanging up in the air at least 6000 metres high.

You will be safely attached to the parachute, and an experienced pilot will be controlling the flying machine.

In terms of water sports, Malaysia is one of the most popular destinations in the world. Even though parasailing is available at most beach resorts, Langkawi Island is the best place to experience it.

Keep in mind, it’s best to go with a licenced tour operator rather than an unlicensed one. Typically, a ten-minute ride can accommodate two to three passengers. It’s impossible to put into words the exhilaration you feel when you’re soaring nearly 500 feet above the ground and landing safely back on the boat.

The duration of a parasailing flight is approximately 30 minutes. Two to three people are lifted at each time.

The cost of each parasailing flight is around RM80 per person for 3km; RM180 per person for 8km on the boat.

Scuba doo is one of the most popular water adventure activities in Malaysia tourists enjoy while vacationing in the area. No idea what is Scuba Doo? It is a form of diving with the help of an underwater scooter, aka scuba bike!

The best part is you can breathe while riding a scuba bike inside a dome. You can dive up to a maximum depth of 10 metres under the sea, allowing you to see the abundant marine life in Malaysian waters while feeding the fish. Resorts in Malaysia have recently launched plenty of scuba doo activities to provide tourists with the ultimate vacation experience. You don’t need to know how to swim or scuba dive to go on a scuba doo ride.

It is currently possible to take underwater scooter rides lasting anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes.

The price range for a scuba doo ride ranges between RM200 to RM275.00.

White Water Rafting

White water rafting is one of the most popular water sports in Malaysia. The rivers in Malaysia are graded based on the watercourse and the challenges that rafters face when visiting. Some are easy and suitable for beginners. Meanwhile, other rivers are targets for people with previous rafting experience to conquer.

The experience you get across these rivers while rafting is unforgettable. Just imagine moving along the river with a backdrop of majestic hills. Usually, it is a good idea to choose a package tour that includes white water rafting. Because you will be able to participate in a few other activities as well.

Best locations for white water rafting includes Kampar (which is safe for beginners), Ulu Slim (which is ideal for first-timers), Selangor (which has medium challenges and is the most well-known), and Singh (highly challenging).

Depending on the course’s level of difficulty, most of these rafting tours can be completed in 1 to 3 days.

Price ranges from RM150 per person to RM1500 per person.

Snorkelling

Malaysia has become a popular snorkelling destination after the monsoon season with its vast beaches and diverse marine life. The coral reefs are teeming with fish, sharks, and other endangered sea turtle species. The majority of the beaches named after these exciting, colourful reefs are located just beneath the water’s surface, making them ideal for snorkelling enthusiasts seeking sea related adventure activities in Malaysia.

Coastline Terengganu, Tioman Island, Langkawi Pulau Payar Marine Park, Perhentian Island, and others are some of the best snorkelling spots in Malaysia that you should not miss if you enjoy adventure and marine life. Most resorts offer diving and snorkelling courses to their guests for a fee, which can add value to your trip.

Most of Malaysia’s islands are excellent snorkelling destinations.

There are many trips available, such as half-day trips, two-hour trips to nearby sites, and so on. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

The price for snorkelling is approximately RM100 per person for a half-day excursion.

Hot air ballooning is a popular activity in this country that offers endless fun and excitement to visitors of all ages. Aside from the annual Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, you can also enjoy generic balloon rides whenever you visit this part of the world. It is one of the most enjoyable things to do if you are looking for something different among the other adventure activities in Malaysia.

As you travel through the skies in the early mornings, you will get a spectacular view of the sun rising, which is a truly magnificent sight.

Putrajaya is the prime location for hot air ballooning here in Malaysia.

The average flight time is one hour. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to start from your hotel, finish the trip, and safely return to your hotel.

Approximately RM850 per person for the base package (complimentary food, 1-hour flight, and certificate), RM1000 per person for the second package (additional services such as in-flight photo, time-lapse video, hotel transfers, and so on), and RM1150 per person for the third package (other services of premium gift box etc.)

Bungee Jumping is one of the most daring adventure activities in Malaysia that you can try. Many tourists from all over the world come to try this.

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park is Malaysia’s most well-known and permanent bungee jumping location. The drop is 22 metres above sea level, which may not seem like much compared to other destinations around the world.

For first-time jumpers, however, it can be both intimidating and exciting. For this, you should work with reputable bungee jumping companies. When you complete the jump, you will be given a certificate that you can proudly display in front of your family.

If you are interested in the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park’s bungee jumping, it is located in Kuala Lumpur.

The jump only takes 5 to 6 seconds and is suitable for children aged 10 and up. Jumps are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The cost is RM90 per child and senior citizen and RM130 per adult.

Caving

If you enjoy adventure and are not afraid of insects, caving is one of the most popular activities in Malaysia. There are numerous caves here with the extensive growth of stalagmites and stalactites, making it a complete haven for those interested in studying ecology and natural biodiversity.

Because the caves are completely dark, you must exercise extreme caution when visiting. Also, you might find many types of worms, spiders, cockroaches, centipedes, and various other insects on the cave floors. Every evening, many bats emerge from the caves and deposit their droppings on the feet, providing food for these insects. There are caves for beginners, pilgrims, and adventurers here.

Typically, caving lovers would visit Batu Caves, Gua Kelam, Gunung Reng, Perak. Tong Cave Temple, Gua Tempurung Cave, Gua Charas, and many more.

Lastly, caving is ideal any day as long as the weather is accommodating. Hence, this makes caving a perfect alternative to one of your adventure activities in Malaysia.

Price varies according to cave complexity.

  • 🌱🎓 Chika at #MSU — all set for her January intake! 🇮🇩🇶🇦🇲🇾

We met Chika today as she begins her Foundation in Science, with a pathway to Psychology at MSU Malaysia. Her decision to study in Malaysia was inspired by her sister, who studied here last year and truly enjoyed the experience — and now it’s Chika’s turn to start her own journey 💙

Alhamdulillah, Chika arrived early for the January intake, and everything was completed smoothly and stress-free in just one day. Her accommodation, including off-campus arrangements, as well as her medical check-up and registration, were all settled efficiently, allowing her to feel comfortable and at ease from the start.

As Chika is below 18, Ms. Nisa from Team #myEMGA personally accompanied her to the hospital, stayed throughout the medical check-up, and met the doctor to ensure she was well taken care of. This level of care and attention is what we believe every student — and every parent — deserves 🤍

So, who said students under 18 cannot study abroad? In Malaysia, they can — and Chika did ✨ From Indonesia and currently based in Qatar, she is now fully settled, happy, and looking forward to her orientation on 5 January, ready to grow, learn, and experience student life both inside and #BeyondTheClassroom 🌿
